The supplemental feeding component targets undernourished children ages 6 months to 12 years old with priority of children 6 years old and below and the severely undernourished children. Underweight pregnant and lactating women are also included in the program.
Feeding is done once a day, 5 times a week for a span of 6 months or a total of 120 feeding days. Children are fed with foods with MannaPack Fortified Rice enriched with vitamins and minerals. Food Supplements are released in tranches or on installment basis to make sure that no wastage will be encountered.
*For IP Children, they special consideration is given. That is, even if not all are undernourished, they can still be part of the 120 feeding days program as long as they fall under the age range.
